President's Message
Greetings and thank you for visiting! We are honored to welcome you to the online home of the Lumberton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated—an organization of college-educated women committed to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and the social and political uplift of the Black community.
Chartered on May 5, 1991, in Robeson County, North Carolina, our chapter was founded by fifteen trailblazing women who recognized the urgent need to serve and support our rural community. Guided by the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, we continue their legacy through impactful programming and purposeful outreach in the following areas:
- Economic Development
- Educational Development
- International Awareness and Involvement
- Physical and Mental Health
- Political Awareness and Involvement
If you are a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. seeking a chapter home, we warmly invite you to consider joining us. Our local initiative, DeltaCARES, continues to deliver sustainable, empowering resources aligned with our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust to uplift and strengthen the communities we serve.
We appreciate your continued support. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay connected and informed. We look forward to engaging with you soon!
Sincerely,
Carolyn Floyd-Robinson
