President's Message

Greetings and welcome to the official website of the Lumberton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.  Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is an organization of college educated women committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service with a primary focus on the Black community.

The Lumberton Alumnae Chapter was chartered on May 5, 1991, in Robeson County, North Carolina by fifteen members of Delta Sigma Theta.  The Charter Members saw the need to provide service to our rural community with a dedicated focus on the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

• Economic Development
• Educational Development
• International Awareness and Involvement
• Physical and Mental Health
• Political Awareness and Involvement

If you are member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and are looking for a chapter, please consider joining Lumberton Alumnae.  Our local initiative, DeltaCARES,  provides committed, assistive resources to empower and sustain our community through our Five-Programmatic Thrust plan.
